~ Downtown Historical Tour ~

Join Cecelia Wattles McKeig, local author and Class of 1957, as she shares interesting facts and stories about downtown Bemidji.   Catch the bus at the Bemidji High School at 10:00 am (Approx. 1-1/2 hour).  


~ Bemidji Carnegie Library ~

10:00 am-Noon

Step back in time with a visit to the historic Bemidji Carnegie Library that was restored in 2019 and reopened to serve the community.  Currently, City Recreation and the Bemidji Jaycees offices are located on the lower level and the upper level is available to rent for events through City Recreation.  There is no charge to tour the building.  A representative of the Friends of the Carnegie will be on site to answer questions about the Carnegie project. Carnegie T-shirts are available for purchase for only $5! Proceeds will be donated to the History Center.

~ School Tours ~

10:00 am-1:00 pm

The Sunnyside School which is located at the Beltrami County Fairgrounds will be open 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for tours. No signup for is required for this school.

Here’s is your opportunity to visit your old elementary.

In order to schedule school staff to open the facilities, sign up is required. 

If less than five signed up, the building will not be opened.
